Prenatal Back Pain Relief Exercise – Wall Cat Cow

This month’s Mommy Moves exercise for pregnant mamas is a fun twist on the traditional cat cow stretch. This exercise is a great way to help relieve back pain that many pregnant mamas unfortunately experience.

January Prenatal Mommy Move: Prenatal Back Pain Relief – Wall Cat Cow

Kneel in front of a wall and place hands on the wall. (Optional: Straddle a bolster or pillow or place cushions anywhere you need to to make the position comfortable for you.) Slowly exhale, press hands into the wall, round your back and contract your abdominals. Slowly inhale, walk hands up the wall and let your head drop between your arms. Walk hands back down and repeat. This is a great exercise to do right when you wake up in the morning and before going to bed at night, for one minute each time.
